| 内容記述 | 本稿の意義は二つある。一つは、カウンセリングの中核条件を研究する方法論として、 薬に頼らず精神科疾患を治療する道を探求している精神科医の実践に着目するという方法 を提示した点にある。精神科医が薬を用いずに治療しようとする時、その姿は、薬を処方 できない他の援助専門職の姿に似てくる。それゆえに、その実践の検討を通してカウンセ ラーにとって重要な知恵も学べるのではないか。第二の意義は、以上の方法論に基づい て、精神科医ピーター・ブレギン（Peter Breggin）の治療原理の解明を試みた点にある。 ブレギンの主張は「治療の中心に共感的な愛を置こう」というものである。この共感に基 礎を置くブレギンの治療の目指すものは、来談者中心療法の創始者ロジャーズ同様、援助 する側の共感的な姿勢に触発されて、ひるがえって今度はクライエント自身が、自分自身 および他者に対して、その同じ共感的な姿勢で触れられるようになることにある。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | This article has two meanings for counseling psychology. One is to present a viewpoint, which is to study psychiatrists who don’t resort to psychiatric medications in order to find the essence of therapeutic core conditions. The consideration from this viewpoint will give counselors or psychotherapists significant wisdom for counseling, because the psychiatrist who doesn’t resort to psychiatric medications resembles counselor or psychotherapist who can’t prescribe drugs. Another meaning is, as a case study based on this viewpoint, to clarify the concept of empathy of Breggin’s treatment theory. He places empathic love at the center of therapy. The goal of his approach based on empathy is to help clients maximize their ability to be empathic and loving toward themselves and others. This is the same as Rogers’ view on the goal of therapy. | |||||||
