The current and former versions of the textbooks for English I and English II, are examined and analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The results show that the twenty examined textbooks contain a multitude of problems in terms of sex and gender such as female invisibility, fixed gender roles or stereotypes, and androcentric frameworks for the reading comprehension of the learners.}, pages = {83--96}, title = {高等学校英語教科書のセックス/ジェンダー表現}, year = {2002} }
